Spring Break 2014
I had a wonderful spring break full of energy and happiness. Since the weather was not that bad, I had a lot of chances to get out and stay active each day during the break. Some of the sports I played were, hockey, soccer and basketball which helped me maintain my fitness levels. I went out for small jogs sometimes where I was able to accelerate my heart rate. However, I went to the Y to work out and play various sports when the weather was not good. Every Sunday I went and still go to volunteer in the pool. During the spring break I had increased my hours of volunteer since I had no school. This way I had an opportunity to stay connected to the community even more. Overall, I had a fantastic spring break and I kept myself active outside of school with all the things that were available to me.

My first fitness testing: March 7, 2014
This day I was admired to do my first fitness testing of the semester as it was recommended by the PE staff. I did not get to the fitness testing in January because that time I wasn't in this class. At first, I started of with the beep test as the seniors were asked to go first. The beep test tested my cardiovascular endurance. However, my score was reasonably acceptable which was 9.6 and this isn't my best because this was my first time doing it this year and I will obviously work hard to improve this score. I achieved this score because it was my first time and I look forward to improving this score. In order to improve this score, I would try my best in all the things that I do at school related to PE and outside of school. Afterwards, I went to test my speed/agility which was done by the T-Test. In fact, my result was 11:14 seconds which I will try to improve to at least 10. Later on, I was able to test my flexibility by certainly doing the sit and reach. As a result my level was 3. I am glad I got this because I remember last year I achieved 2 as my final score for the sit and reach. After, I went and tested my vertical. By standing I got 240 centimeters and by jumping I got 280 centimeters. The difference was 40 cm which was not bad for me as it was my first time doing it. Lastly, I finished the testing my doing the board touches which tested my balance. In 30 seconds I touched the ground only 10 times. So this post explains the things I did on this day, how to improve on these and my related scores. I will try to make progress in all of these areas as the semester moves on.

Interim Post March 2014
My semester so far is going really well in regards to the class. I have been very considerate and very prepared for this class everyday. Some things, I want to discuss are my strengths, weaknesses and the areas that I have to improve on throughout this course as the semester progresses. The way that I participate in the class is by bringing my PE strip everyday and being prepared for class. Some of my strengths include: taking a leadership role in the class by taking out the equipment for the activity we are going to do, I am also good at fitness activities, I always bring a positive attitude and positive energy to the class and I am also good at encouraging others to put more effort. The way I stay connected with the community is by volunteering. I volunteer at the Y in the aquatics department now. I put all my effort to what I do in PE and I take the initiative to encourage others to do the same. I work hard to develop certain skills to achieve success. I have committed myself to go to the YMCA 2 - 3 days a week so that I have an extra-circular daily physical activity. Some of my weaknesses include: encouraging the junior classes to put more effort and motivating others to push their self. I like to contribute to all activities that take place. Some barriers that limit me from participating certain activities is that when I injured my wrist, I wasn't able to try my best. Some areas I could work on throughout the semester are: taking the initiative to make fair teams on choice days and helping other classes in the block without being asked to. My personal goals are to improve on my intellectual, cooperation, leadership and athletic skills.

Reflecting on my recent weeks
This semester has started as I wanted it to start. However, I wasn't able to do my first fitness testing because I had just switched into this class on that particular day. I have been very responsible in regarding to bringing my PE strip everyday. This way my participation to the class is going well. Throughout the semester some things I have done during fitness days are: locomotion, parking lot relay, circuit, pond run, and the insanity. These activities helped me increase my work ethic and effort. Everyday in PE, I come with positive energy and willing to participate in any activity that we do. As the semester progresses I want to push myself more and more. Everyday in PE, I put myself in sort of a position which makes me to take a leadership role and contribute to the class. For example, I help with any equipment needed, taking out the pinnies, and helping making fair teams during choice days. I am also very connected with the community. Now I volunteer in the aquatics department in the YMCA. This way it gives me a great opportunity to contribute to the community. My fitness scores for the past weeks teach me that I can push myself more and try harder and put even more effort the next time. Some barriers that are limiting me from trying my best is that I injured my wrist one day during soccer on a choice day so I am not able to play some sports for a while. I am very honest with my fitness scores and I motivate myself to pick a different sport each day on choice days. My future goals for this semester are to push myself, put more effort, contribute more to the PE block since we are the seniors, participate everyday and encourage others to do the same.
